Snow continues to fall in Denver, with another 1 to 4 inches today

A push of arctic air mixed with a moist storm system is bringing some heavy snow to the Denver metro space Wednesday morning.

This storm is ready to drop 4 to eight inches of snow throughout throughout the metro space, with 5 to 10 inches close to the foothills and as much as 6 to 12 inches within the mountains alongside and east of the Continental Divide. The heaviest snow shall be over southern Colorado on Wednesday from Wolf Creek Cross to Colorado Springs to Trinidad.

Winter Storm Warnings are in impact for Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder. These alerts will stay in place till late tonight.

Skies will clear Wednesday evening, and lows will drop to five to 10 beneath zero in Denver and throughout the I-25 hall by daybreak on Thursday. Skies shall be sunny, however highs keep chilly within the teenagers within the afternoon.

The chilly air mass will ease it’s grip on our area by Friday with highs again close to freezing. Count on dry and milder climate over the weekend with highs within the 40s. By Monday, temperatures will return to the low 50s.
