According to Shatta Wale, the demonstration will aim at getting the organization to monetize every platform which music is being used in order for musicians to get the royalties they deserve.

In a tweet, Shatta Wale revealed that the music organization will receive support from the Ghanaian government should they decide to monetize all platforms in order to get them pay for using the intellectual properties of musicians.

He wrote; Not only radio stations ,but pubs ,hotels clubs etc will be monetized and I believe government willl even support . But we sit and talk like we no all so let’s continue as the “No All family “ It’s a shame we don’t think like musicians here #NoroyaltyNomusic

However, Shatta Wale lamented that the reluctance of Ghanaian musicians have led them to believe that an amount of GH¢30,000 being paid to a musician is enough. Therefore, the dancehall crooner suggested a demonstration against the music rights organization to get them monetize all platforms using Ghanaian songs.

No wonder they will pay me 30k and you will think is big money but my brother ,my sister ,think about it deeply ..Imagine we register with these ppl as a force and go on a demonstration..#NoroyaltyNomusic like by now these 400 radio stations will be monetized.Imagine the money”, he wrote.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale became the highest earner on GHAMRO’s record after he earned GH¢30,000 as royalties.
