Senate Leader dumps APC for PDP
The Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, has decamped from the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) and joined the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State.
A statement released by his special adviser on media and publicity Muhammad Jamil Gulma made this known on Tuesday.
“Senate Leader Dr Yahaya Abdullahi will on Wednesday by 9 am leave Abuja for Kebbi and proceed to Kamba local government to formally declare for PDP and to possibly indicate his interest to contest his present seat,” the statement said.
Dr Yahaya had participated in the APC’s Kebbi governorship primaries but reportedly scored zero vote.
He is said to have rejected the outcome of the primary election and described as ‘child’s play.’
