Sporting immersion gear and different security gear, crews used chainsaws to clear the ice from the submerged car and a heavy-duty tow truck from Metro Towing to haul the car to shore.

The lemon-yellow Scion tC was seen racing down the frozen river final Sunday afternoon earlier than it broke although the ice, simply north of Bridge Road. The feminine driver, who was seen taking a selfie whereas standing on the trunk of the sinking car, was rescued by neighbours who hauled her to security in a kayak. She has been charged with harmful driving.
