Sacha Baron Cohen is an English actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He was born on October 13, 1971 in Hammersmith, London. Cohen is best known for his creation and portrayal of the fictional satirical characters Ali G, Borat Sagdiyev, Brüno Gehard, and Admiral General Aladeen. In 2021, Cohen was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Abbie Hoffman in The Trial of the Chicago 7.

Cohen attended an independent school called ‘The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School’ in Elstree, Hertfordshire. He studied history at the University of Cambridge. Sacha Baron Cohen mother, photographer Daniella (née Weiser), was born in British Mandatory Palestine in 1939. Before university, he spent a year at Kibbutz Rosh HaNikra and Kibbutz Beit HaEmek with Habonim Dror. He attended an independent school called ‘The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School’ in Elstree, Hertfordshire. He studied history at the University of Cambridge.

Baron Cohen was first educated at the independent Catholic St Columba’s College in St Albans, before moving on to attend the independent Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School in Elstree. He then studied History with a focus on antisemitism at Christ’s College, Cambridge, graduating in 1993 with upper-second-class honours.
