Register for your NIN or 14 years imprisonment: Isa Patami

Isa Pantami, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy made this public at the weekly State House Press Briefing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Pantami warned that Nigerians without NIN risked 14 years imprisonment as stipulated by the country’s constitution.

He also said that 189 million Subscriber Identification Modules, Sim, have been registered in the country out of which 150 million registrations have been completed.

It should however be noted that the Federal Government on Thursday revealed that about 51 million Nigerians have registered for the ongoing madatory NIN registration Excercise.
