Popular Islamic cleric slumps during sermon in Kwara

In style Islamic cleric, Sheikh Habeeb Abdullahi Al-Ilory, reportedly suffered a stroke throughout a sermon in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

It was gathered that Sheikh Habeeb, proprietor of Markaz Arabic and Islamic Coaching Institute, Agege, Lagos, slumped through the Nikkah ceremony of the daughter of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Alfa Belgore.

Every day Belief reported that Habeeb who dressed to the event in a white Agbada and inexperienced cap had barely began the sermon when he collapsed.

He was later admitted on the Stroke Unit of the College of Ilorin Instructing Hospital (UITH), and a prime medical officer on the hospital confirmed that the cleric suffered a stroke and had been admitted on the Stroke Unit of the UITH.

The medical officer mentioned, “He was rushed to UITH on Thursday and it was later found that he suffered a stroke. He’s on the Stroke Unit of the UITH.”

A member of the Mufti’s cupboard who pleaded anonymity, mentioned, “Baba (Sheikh Habeeb) is getting higher and really quickly, you will notice him again on stage. No person is free from such a check irrespective of how extremely positioned his place and standing is in society.”
