Police arrest seven suspected cultists in Ekiti

Ekiti State Police Command has arrested seven suspected cultists terrorizing innocent residents in Aramoko-Ekiti.

 

Spokesperson of the command, ASP Sunday Abutu, disclosed this in a press launch on Thursday, Would possibly 5.

“On 30/04/2022 at about 10:00hrs, the Command acquired credible intelligence that two rival cult groups- Black Axe (AIYE) and EIYE secret cults, have been on rampage in Aramoko-Ekiti,” the assertion be taught.

 

“Upon the receipt of the data, Command operatives swooped on the scene and arrested one Olajide Marvelous ’24yrs’, Sunday Kolawole ’20yrs’, Olajide Samuel ’25yrs’, Jamiu Olalekan ’24yrs’, Sunday David ’18yrs’, Idowu Olarenwaju ’25yrs’ and Okeke Dada ’24yrs’ whereas others took to their heels and escaped arrest

 

“Investigation revealed that the two cult groups have been stopping for supremacy and have been terrorizing innocent residents and inflicting nuisance in Aramoko-Ekiti,”

 

Offensive weapons and insignias of cultism have been recovered from them whereas effort is ongoing for the attainable arrest of the fleeing suspects, the PPRO added.
