Police arrest man, recover gun, live cartridge in Delta
Operatives attached to the Oghara Police Division in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State on routine stop-and-search duty along Ibori road have arrested a 35-year-old man, Famous Olotu.
The police, led by the Divisional Crime Officer, DCO, also recovered one locally-made cut-to-size gun loaded with one live cartridge from the suspect.
It was learnt that the police intercepted the suspect and subjected him to a search, during which he was arrested and the items recovered.
The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The police image maker said, “Suspect was immediately taken into custody and investigation is ongoing.”
