Police Arrest Kidnapper While He Was Attempting To Take Ransom In Bauchi

SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the command’s spokesperson, stated in a press release on Friday that the suspect Ya’u Haruna and his accomplices kidnapped one Musa Adamu and wished N8 million in ransom for his freedom.

“On 13/01/2022 at about 1430hrs, the Command detectives acted on intelligence, arrested one Ya’u Haruna aged 25yrs of Lim village Bununu, Tafawa Balewa L.G.A in possession of 1 Domestically Fabricated revolver, with one reside ammunition,” Wakil acknowledged.

“Throughout investigation, the suspect confessed to have, on 29/12/2021 at about 0300hrs, criminally conspired with three of his gang members now at massive armed with gun stormed the home of 1 Musa Adamu aged 40yrs of Jambil, kidnapped him to unknown vacation spot and demanded the sum of eight million naira (8,000,000) as ransom.

“The suspect was arrested within the means of accumulating the ransom. Investigation is ongoong.” the PPRO added.
