The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has boasted that there was no doubt that after the 2023 general elections, the PDP would form a government in the state.

Dare stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, saying that the era of the people voting for a particular political party was over.

He claimed Zamfara State indigenes were now wiser, lamenting that the APC ruling government both at the national and state levels have failed woefully.

“I can not imagine how any reasonable person especially those in the rural areas would accept to bring back a party that was doing nothing to secure their lives and properties” he added.

“I challenge you, journalists, to go out to the rural and urban areas and seek opinions of the people and draw your conclusion over the APC governments”

“You all are aware that the slogan of Zamfara State people is ” farming is our pride but today, the people who are mainly farmers cannot even feed themselves talk of selling to other people”

The PDP governorship candidate lamented that the bandits operating in the state are roaring like lions because the APC-led government cannot control the ugly situation and lack the experience to find a lasting solution to the challenges.

“Nothing is permanent in life but change and the people have got the opportunity to revolt against APC through the ballot box in 2023 general elections”

Dr. Dare further stated that apart from the insecurity situation in the state, nothing whatsoever is working, pointing out that democracy has been miscarried in the name of leadership.

“I don’t even know the achievement of APC has to convince the people during the electioneering campaigns. Both the APC and the PDP will be meeting at the campaign grounds and the voters will be the judges”

He cautioned voters never to make the mistakes they have been making over the years, saying that the insecurity situation and the economic hardships ravaging the entire state will be an eye-opener for them.

“2023 will be for political battle and the battlegrounds would be the campaign grounds. Then a winner must emerge. I have told my supporters to remain calm because the political permutations are still on”

He appealed to the residents of the state to continue enduring because they have been enduring for over a decade now, stressing that there are indications that the solution to their sufferings will soon emerge.
