PDP constitutes committee to investigate suspended Chairman in Kogi

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State has constituted a Committee to investigate allegations levelled against the suspended chairman, Gabriel Itanyi.

PRESSINFORMAT had earlier reported that the suspended PDP Chairman, was recently suspended from office over allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities.

The constitution of the panel followed a meeting of the sixteen executives in the local government as well as stakeholders held at Ugwolawo, its headquarters.

According to the resolution, the suspension of Gabriel Itanyi as PDP Chairman in Ofu was apt, noting that it was in the best interest of the party in the area.

The meeting passed a vote of confidence on the Acting Chairman, Mr Audu Inda Agbonika, stressing that the party should consider the 2023 elections for the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly as a must-win.

The investigative panel has Yunusa Abuka as Chairman, Ojonimi Alidu Member, Isah Ameh member and Daniel Abutu as member.

Others are Silas Akoji member, Akogwu Alih member while Solomon Ikagwu Yahaya is to serve as secretary.

The suspended Chairman, Gabriel Itanyi has been invited to meet with the committee next week.

The investigative panel has two weeks to submit its report to the Executives.
