Payslip Of Civil Servant Taking N2000 (GHc33.90p) Monthly Pops Up, Netizens React

Social media users have expressed shock over the amount of money a civil servant takes home as his salary at the end of the month.

A Twitter influencer identified as Morris Monye shared the payslip of the civil servant from Kogi State which has caused massive reactions on social media. The influencer showed the payslip of a civil servant who received N2,473 as a monthly salary.

Social media users have reacted to the post. While some expressed their disbelieve, others suggested some deductions might have been made to result in the small amount of money.

@Jimmycho: Don’t want to believe this tho .. the other possibility may be that: the civil servant took a loan.. which is being deducted from their salary monthly .. make we dey think an alternative.

@IamFunmi: Please pay slip should be demanded too cos people take loans and demand it be deducted from their salaries. I knew someone whose basic salary in Abuja was close to 200k but loans made her get 5k monthly

@Zikel: I don’t believe this. I’m a Federal worker as well & I know these things. No matter the loans & cooperative you’re into, CBN & Federal govt rule is that you must earn a minimum of 50% of your monthly salary after deduction. If you earn 200k, 100k must be left for you monthly.
