Passengers Escape Unhurt After Bus Catches Fire

Greater than 40 passengers escaped unharmed after an O.A Zhongtong bus with registration quantity AS 8249-19 touring from Tumu in direction of Accra caught hearth.

The incident occurred on Saturday, February 5, 2021, at 5:30 am.

In accordance with the 52-year-old driver of the automobile, Anim Richmond, on reaching a bit of the street at Akim Fisher close to Asiakwa junction on the Accra-Kumasi Freeway, he seen that smoke was from beneath the bus.

He stated he parked the automobile on the shoulders of the street however out of the blue the Bus was engulfed in flames and burnt past recognition.

Personnel of the Ghana Nationwide Hearth from the Kibi Hearth Station arrived on the scene to douse the fireplace.

In accordance with the Deputy public Relations Officer, Inspector Francis Gomado, efforts are underway to tow the automobile from the scene.
