A sheriff’s deputy in North Carolina was shot on Saturday and transported to the hospital.

In a press release launched by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s workplace, police stated that Deputy Dijon Whyms suffered non-life threatening accidents after being shot throughout a site visitors cease.

The assertion added that Whyms and a suspect exchanged hearth and tub have been taken to an area hospital.

The suspect is in police custody on the hospital.

Whyms, who has served with the division since 2002, is alleged to be in secure situation.

The incident comes the day after a sheriff’s deputy in Moore County, North Carolina shot an armed one that confronted officers responding to a noise criticism.
