North Carolina Military Reservist dies after aircraft crashes into truck

An Military reservist who served within the North Carolina Nationwide Guard was killed Wednesday after a twin-engine aircraft crashed right into a tractor-trailer, sparking a small hearth. 

Raymond John Ackley, 43, died on the scene, the North Carolina State Freeway Patrol mentioned. He joined North Carolina Nationwide Guard in 2009 and served in Kuwait and Afghanistan, the Charlotte Observer reported.

A spokesman for the Nationwide Guard informed Fox Information that Ackley “served honorably” and was well-respected by all who knew whim.

The Federal Aviation Administration mentioned a twin-engine Beechcraft Barron crashed into the tractor-trailer on Interstate 85 South, close to the Davidson County Airport in Lexington at round 5:35 p.m.

Early reviews point out the aircraft was taking off from the airport when it misplaced altitude and crashed into the southbound tractor-trailer.
