In other news, ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Yerins Abraham has acknowledged the fact that the Afrobeat maestro, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, well known as Wizkid still remains one of the greatest African acts despite losing in the 64th Grammys.
Wizkid who had his “Essence” song and his album “Made In Lagos” nominated in the 64th Grammy Awards failed to walk home with the prestigious award as he lost the victory to the Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo.
As a reminder, he was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance as well as the Best Global Music Album but unfortunately, he lost in both categories.
This sparked a lot of discussion on social media as many dragged the singer over his inability to replicate Burna Boy’s victory at the 63rd Grammy where he won the Best Global Music Awards with his “Twice As Tall” album.
In reaction to that, Yerins of BBNaija fame has stated that Wizkid’s loss at the Grammys doesn’t change the fact that he is still one of the biggest African acts of all time.
