New Broadway Play ‘Skeleton Crew’ Celebrates ‘Detroit Night’

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Detroit took the highlight at a brand new Broadway play Friday.

“Skeleton Crew,” starring Phylicia Rashad, is about in an auto stamping plant that’s on the verge of shutting down. It was written by Detroit native Dominique Morisseau.

Celebrities hit the crimson carpet for the present’s “Detroit Night time,” together with former NBA and Michigan star Jalen Rose, in addition to actress S. Epatha Merkerson.

“I’m from Detroit, so this can be a fantastic alternative to see our metropolis offered by this unbelievable playwright,” Merkerson stated.
