The boys were kidnapped at gunpoint in Polokwane, South Africa even though they have been going to faculty. Zayyad, Zidan, Zia, and Alan had been kidnapped by 7 intensely armed adult males who had rifles with them. They attacked and cornered their vehicle and forcefully eliminated the boys from the car or truck.
