Man stabbed close to NYC subway station, suspect flees, police say

A male was stabbed Thursday by an unknown assailant at a New York Metropolis subway station, authorities mentioned. 

The incident occurred on the L prepare station on third Avenue and 14th Road, the New York Police Division informed Fox Information. The sufferer was injured within the arm and leg.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is predicted to outlive, the NYPD mentioned. 

The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made. A motive for the stabbing was unclear. 

Thursday’s violent incident comes amid a sequence of assaults within the metropolis’s subway system. Final week, a lady was stabbed in Washington Heights. Authorities mentioned she was approached by a person asking for the time simply after midnight on Feb. 10 on the 181st Road station on the 1 line. 

Hours later, a person allegedly tried to rape a lady on the E prepare within the Canal Road station. A suspect was later arrested. 

A day earlier, a person allegedly approached a 67-year-man on the platform of the three line on the one hundred and twenty fifth Road station on Lenox Avenue. He allegedly threw espresso on the sufferer and knocked a cellphone from his hand, inflicting an damage, police mentioned.  

  

Authorities have launched a picture of the suspect.
