Man Reportedly Shoots Mother Over ‘Lost’ GH¢100 In North-East Region

Zakaria Alhassan, a 45-year-old man, has been detained in police prison for reportedly murdering his mother over a lost GH100.

The incident occurred at Sooba, a village in the North East Region’s West Mamprusi Municipality.

When his 71-year-old mother sought to interfere in an altercation he was having with his brothers, in which Alhassan accused them of taking his GH100, the man was reported to have shot her.

In an editorial from Citi News monitored by , DSP Cosmos Awe, the West Mamprusi Municipal police chief revealed that the matter is still being investigated.

“He has been arrested and on remand. He went out and when he returned he reported his missing money of GH¢100. It ensued into an argument with his family and he went in for a gun, shot his mother from the back from the right hip which penetrated from her back. Investigations are still underway to determine what exactly caused such action from him.”

In other news, Ghanaian actress and Comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger has decided to join the race for parliamentarian position in the year 2024.

Afia who recently lost his father to the cold hands of death disclosed via her official Instagram handle that the people of Fomena deserve so much better hence her decision to join the race for the seat.

In the video sighted by , Afia seem to have paid a visit to the people of Fomena and the inhabitants couldn’t contain their joy after realizing the presence of the controversial Ghanaian actress. As she tried to vacate the constituency, she was being serenaded with many appellations from the inhabitants.
