Kidnapper Strangles 13-Year-Old Girl With Her Hijab, Demands N1m Ransom From Family In Kano (PHOTOS)

Auwal Abdulrasheed, a 21-year-old kidnapper detained by the Kano State Police Command, has described how he kidnapped, killed, and demanded N1 million ransom from the household of a 13-year-old lady hawker earlier than dumping her physique in a shallow grave.

The suspect was apprehended on January 9, in accordance with the command’s spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the event in an announcement on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

The incident of a lacking 13-year-old lady referred to as Zuwaira was reported to the police on July 21, 2021, in accordance with the PPRO.

“On the 21/06/2021 at about 1000hrs, a report was obtained from a resident of Tofa City, Tofa LGA, Kano State that his daughter, Zuwaira, ‘f’, 13 years outdated, was kidnapped and a ransom of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) was demanded and later settled at 4 Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000.00). Whereas negotiating for the ransom, the physique of the sufferer was found in an uncompleted constructing, slaughtered and buried in a shallow grave,” the assertion reads. 

“On receipt of the ugly report, scene was visited, the physique was exhumed, examined and confirmed useless by a Medical Physician and launched to the kinfolk for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi instantly raised and instructed a workforce of Operation Puff Adder led by SP Shehu Dahiru to arrest the culprits.

“The Puff Adder workforce swung into motion. Sustained efforts and extended follow-up led to the arrest of 1 Auwalu Abdulrashid, alias Lauje, ‘m’, 21 years outdated, of Tofa City, Tofa LGA, Kano State at Dan marke village, Dambatta LGA, Kano State on the 09/01/2022, i.e. 202 days after the incident.

“On preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed that, he singlehandedly kidnapped the sufferer, deceived and took her to an uncompleted constructing situated at Tofa City, Tofa LGA, Kano State, the place he strangled her together with her Hijab used knife to slaughtered her throat and buried her in a shallow grave, after which demanded a ransom of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) and later settled at 4 Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000.00)”

“The suspect additional confessed that, on the 07/06/2021, he kidnapped a youthful brother of the sufferer, one Muttaka, ‘m’, 3 years outdated at Tofa City, Tofa LGA, Kano State, demanded a ransom of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000.00), later settled and picked up One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000.00) and deserted the kid at Dawanau Particular Main Faculty, Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State.” 

The spokesperson then acknowledged that the police investigations into the matter are full, and that the suspect will probably be charged and prosecuted within the close to future.
