Officer Joshua Jaynes was recently terminated for lying in connection with the murder of Breonna Taylor.

Everyone is saddened by the case of Breonna Taylor, which has garnered international attention. According to the attorney general Merrick Garland, Breonna shouldn’t have died as a result of other people’s negligence.

According to Joshua Jaynes’ attorney Thomas Clay, the FBI detained Jaynes on Thursday morning and booked him into the Oldham County Detention Center. Jaynes is a former detective with the Louisville Metro Police who was fired for forging the search warrant that led to the deadly raid on Taylor’s apartment in 2020.

Was Officer Joshua Jaynes Fired Because He Lied To LMPD?
Officer Joshua Jaynes did indeed lose his job as a result of the deception he told the LMPD. The board voted 4-0 to back the chief’s decision to terminate Jaynes after hours of in-person deliberation.

Over the course of the three-day hearings, Joshua Jaynes and his attorney, Thomas Clay, argued in favour of Jaynes’ reinstatement by asserting that the former detective had not falsified his declaration from March 2020.

Jaynes was fired at the beginning of January because a statement in his sworn declaration that previous interim Chief Yvette Gentry found to be false.

According to Jaynes, who claimed to have confirmation of this through a U.S. Postal Inspector, Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover, who was a suspected drug trafficker, was having packages sent to her residence. The officer Jaynes had spoken to was Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, who had information from Shively Police and not the postal inspector.

How Old Is Joshua Jaynes?
Joshua is 40 years old right now. He had been a policeman in the past. Several detectives from the LMPD Place Based Investigations Unit (PBI), including Jaynes, claimed to have spent months looking into Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover for cocaine possession.

Despite the fact that Sgt. Jon Mattingly initiated the actual conversation, Jaynes asserted that he did confirm the details regarding Glover via Mattingly. However, Gentry objected since Jaynes left Mattingly’s name off the warrant.

Jaynes said that he hasn’t been able to find job because potential employers are worried about reprisal.

Does Joshua Jaynes Have A Wife And Kids?
Joshua is a married man who is the father of two children. However, the public has not yet been informed of their identities due to concerns for their safety.

Jaynes claimed his family, including his small children, had to pay a high price for this tragedy, thus he will never forget it. Jaynes received threats and was compelled to leave his home.

Janey claimed he feels he is being used as a political scapegoat so that municipal officials may claim they fired the officers involved in the Breonna Taylor case. He asserts that the department fired him in error because he didn’t intentionally lie in the warrant and believed the facts he provided to be accurate.
