Jordan DeMay committed suicide on Friday, March 25, just hours after blackmailers threatened to expose a nude photo of him in a sextortion case.

A sextortion scandal has erupted in Upper Michigan following the death of a teenager.

Jordan DeMay paid $300 to blackmailers who threatened to send a naked picture to all of his social media connections.

Who Was Jordan Demay?

Jordan DeMay was 17 years old Michigan high school student. He committed suicide after being blackmailed by sending naked photos.

He was a senior at Marquette Senior High School, where he was extensively involved in the football and basketball teams.

Jordan was a team-oriented, mature, and sensitive athlete.

According to the investigators, the blackmailer created a fake Twitter profile with the title of a beautiful girl and provided DeMay with an unadorned image of the woman.

In response, he sent them a nude photo of himself, and they began blackmailing him for disclosing the image.

They wanted $300 from DeMay, but they demanded more money and attempted to extort $1000 from him even after he paid.

Jordan admitted that he couldn’t afford to pay them any more money. They typically advised him to move forward after he stated that you had won and that he was going to commit suicide.

The case was initially handled as a “teenage suicide” by investigators, but when a friend of DeMay came forward and told them that the scammers had contacted her as well, the case was reviewed.

Jordan’s naked image was emailed to a friend. Jordan had committed suicide, and she had seen the photo, so they demanded money from her as well.

She informed them that he had committed suicide. However no arrests have yet been made, the inquiry is still going.

Jordan took his own life after being blackmailed. Jordan’s parents have specifically requested that this information be made public.

Jordan is thought to have been blackmailed on Instagram over images of himself that he had taken for his personal use.

He was forced to pay money in exchange for the photos not being shared with his family or Instagram followers as a result of the perpetrator’s extreme pressure.

The Sheriff’s Office and Jordan’s family have issued a press statement in the hopes of aiding the neighborhood’s reconstruction.

According to his Instagram account, he had a girlfriend with whom he had been dating for more than a year.

In memory of DeMay, a funeral ceremony was held on March 30 at the Lake Superior Christian Church in Marquette.

Jordan previously remarked that his goal was to “be the best human being I can be on and off the field.”

He was a team-oriented, mature, and sensitive athlete. Detectives concluded that DeMay had been a victim of cyber extortion after conducting an investigation.

Despite the fact that no arrests have been made to date, the investigation is still in its early stages.
