Joe Biden is the 46th and current president of the United States. He was born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under President Barack Obama. He represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009.
Biden’s political career began in 1972 when he was elected to the U.S. Senate from Delaware at the age of 29. He was re-elected to the Senate six times and served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1987 to 1995. In 2008, he was elected Vice President of the United States on the Democratic ticket with Barack Obama.
