James Iannazzo: Fairfield, Connecticut smoothie shop racist tirade on TikTok costs dad Merrill Lynch job

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut — The person who went on a viral and racist tirade at a Connecticut smoothie store has been fired from his job as a monetary advisor with Merrill Lynch.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon, when James Iannazzo confronted staff on the retailer in Fairfield, saying his son had an allergic response after consuming a smoothie with nuts.

The confrontation rapidly escalated, as Iannazzo allegedly threw a smoothie at one of many staff.

Workers known as police after they are saying he tried to interrupt into the again of the store.

“He threatened to kill us a number of instances,” stated worker Charlie Hill. “He tried to return behind the doorways, and I began recording.”

Video of the incident posted on TikTok has been seen hundreds of thousands of instances.

Iannazzo surrendered to police shortly after it occurred.
