Insecurity: NSCDC commissions outpost in Zamfara community

The Zamfara State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has established an outpost in Morai district of Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the State.

The State Commandant, Mr. A A Spark, who was represented by the Command’s deputy commandant of the Corps, Mr. Musa Garba and deputy commandant of the Corps in charge of Intelligence and Investigations, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu performed the commissioning.

They charged the community members to cooperate with the Corps to give the officers in the outpost the necessary backings in order to achieve the desired goals behind the establishment of the outpost.

The deputy Commandant, Mr. Musa Garba extolled the resilient zeal of the pan cultural group, Morai Youth Development Association (MYDA) whose initiatives gave birth to the creation of the outpost.

He also appreciated the relentless efforts of all stakeholders of the community in ensuring that the outpost was a success.

In a separate remark, the DCC intelligence and investigations, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu urged the community leaders never to allow the outpost to suffer any form of setback.

“Security is everyone’s business, as such, all and sundry should be actively involved in the protection of life and properties in the area,” he said.

He further admonished the community to leverage on this golden opportunity and endeavour to give vital information to the Corps.

The president of the Morai Youth Development Association (MYDA) Mr. Hundu Ambali thanked NSCDC Zamfara State Command for accepting to establish the outpost, promising to give the necessary backings to see to the successful operations of the outpost.

The District head of Moral, Alhaji Abdulmalik Banaga expressed his overwhelming joy towards the establishment of the outpost.

“As the host in the community, I have worked out modalities to ensure a successful operation of the outpost,” he added.
