Budding Ghanaian gospel musician, Sarah Sings has revealed how she gets the lyrics to her songs.

She made this known in a recent interview she had on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM with Andy Dosty.

The conversation was about her career and personal life. In her submission, she said;

“Sings is actually not my surname. It’s just a name we added to ‘Sarah’ because we thought the ‘Ministry’ tag in the gospel industry has been overused.

Aside from music, I have a business in finance. I am also into arts. I am based in the U.S. The last time I was in Ghana was in 2019, for a crusade in Navrongo.

As part of my ministry, I do street evangelism in the United States. The reception has been amazingly wonderful.

A lot of the young gospel musicians that are coming up are doing contemporary songs. I think we should embrace them especially if it is coming from our own.

It’s important to stick to who you are and go by the direction of the Holy Spirit. I personally do not sit down to write songs. I receive my songs – it could be through prayers. The Lord will just drop the lyrics, melody and everything. Then I record on my phone.”
