The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has set out its plan on how to resolve the crisis within the party involving its 2023 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The plan was the result of the party’s Board of Trustee (BoT) meeting aimed at settling the agrieved party stalwarts which held earlier today (Wednesday).

The BoT said the meeting has resolved to form a committee to meet both parties and settle their grievances soon.

Meanwhile, the BoT members left for Atiku’s residence shortly after the meeting to intimate him on its plan.

AllNews Nigeria gathered that the resolution from the meeting implied that Atiku and Wike’s men need to come into terms as the only guarantee for the party’s victory in the 2023 elections.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Senator Abdul Ningi revealed: “We discussed the crisis between our presidential candidate and Governor Nyesom Wike and how to get it resolved.

“We set up a committee of the whole team to urgently interface with the two of them.

“We have set up in this meeting committee of the BoT to be able to interface between the factions, particularly the acrimony that is taking place between the presidential candidate and Governor Wike and any other conflicts that is taking place within our party formation.

“The committee is the committee of the whole, that means every other BoT member is a member of the committee.

“I cannot tell you the grievances and the time frame.”

Ningi showed optimism that the crisis will be resolved as soon as possible.
