A Police Divisional headquarters in Arondizuogu in Ideato Native Authorities Space of Imo State has been attacked by unknown gunmen.

The assailants that attacked the police station on Tuesday round 2 am killed a police officer who was on obligation.

It was gathered that the Divisional Police Officer, (DPO) of the division left the scene of the assault with a damaged head after he was attacked by the invaders.

The unknown gunmen additionally vandalized a Sienna car hooked up to the division and DPO’s private automobiles.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Michael Abattam, disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Hussaini Rabiu, is already on his option to the neighborhood to evaluate the extent of harm carried out by the gunmen.

That is coming after a army officer was killed by unknown gunmen in Imo State following an assault on some troopers in Awo Mmamma within the Oru East Native Authorities Space of the state.

It was gathered that the army males in reprisal invaded the neighborhood and allegedly burnt a lodge, automobiles, homes and retailers.

The incident has seen residents of the affected neighborhood flee as troopers took over the neighborhood.
