Gunmen Assassinate Popular Anglican Priest, Set His Car Ablaze In Imo State

Unknown gunmen have assassinated a preferred priest of the Nigerian Anglican Communion, Rev Emeka Merenu, at Iheteukwa , Orsu Native Authorities Space of Imo State.

 

It was gathered that the Anglican priest was killed on Tuesday morning over allegations that he introduced in troopers to safe the Church and College underneath his supervision.

 

A supply advised Press Informant that the killers had set the priest automotive ablaze after murdering him.

 

“Everyone is gloomy in the intervening time and afraid for his or her lives.” he mentioned.

The late Rev Merenu hailed from Amorji Agbomori Village in Nkwerre.

 

Press Informant remembers that one other priest of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria, Rev Efe Urhogo, had reportedly slumped and died whereas preaching.

 

Press Informant gathered that the priest was hooked up to the St John’s Anglican Church, Okpara Inland, Ethiope East Native Authorities Space in Delta State.

 

In line with experiences, Reverend Urhogo had slumped on Wednesday night whereas preaching through the Anglican Youth Week programme.

 

Parishioners rushed the clergyman to the Eku Authorities Common Hospital, Eku, the place he was confirmed lifeless.
