British character actor Peter Vaughan is dead at age 93, his agent announced Tuesday. The actor may be best known in the U.S. for playing blind, elderly Night’s Watch Maester Aemon Targaryen on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Vaughn, who was partially blind in real life, also starred on the UK TV series “Porridge,” appeared alongside Frank Sinatra in 1967’s “The Naked Runner,” and opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins in “The Remains of the Day.” No cause of death was given, but his agent said died Tuesday morning while surrounded by family.

A Dave Eggers book comes to life in the first trailer for “The Circle.” Tom Hanks stars as Eamon Bailey, owner of the Circle technology company that’s secretly planning a worldwide camera surveillance system: “Because knowing is good — but knowing everything is better.” Emma Watson plays the young employee who threatens to stop the “Black Mirror”-like plot. “The Circle,” also starring John Boyega, Karen Gillan, Patton Oswalt and Bill Paxton, opens April 28.

’90s rapper Big Syke has died at age 48, TMZ reports. Born Tyruss Himes, he was best known for collaborating with hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur as part of the group Thug Life, and performed verses on 2Pac hits like “All Eyez on Me” and “Picture Me Rollin’.” Authorities say Syke was found dead in his home in Hawthorne, California, on Monday. No foul play is suspected — he reportedly had a history of heart issues and obesity.

And a new trailer for “Fist Fight” is out, promising a different kind of schoolyard brawl – between two teachers. Ice Cube and Charlie Day play rivals whose conflict escalates to physical violence amid frustration with senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. “Fist Fight,” also starring Jillian Bell, Christina Hendricks, Dennis Haysbert and Tracy Morgan, opens in theaters Feb. 17.
