Two individuals have been injured at a Florida dockside restaurant Friday after a portion of the dock collapsed into the water.

An unidentified girl from Virginia who was on the Flip Flops Dockside Eatery in Fort Lauderdale fell into the water round 5 p.m. after a 10-foot part of the dock the place she was standing all of the sudden gave means, Miami FOX station WSVN-TV reported.

The girl and her husband, who fell into the water after she did, have been on the restaurant to have fun the fiftieth birthday of her buddy, Karey Gore.   

“We have been simply standing on the dock, and it broke, and three of us jumped off,” visitor Keira Anderson advised WSVN. “[A guest] slid in, after which her husband slid in after her.”

Noticing the distressed couple, visitor Mike Gore (whose relation to the birthday honoree, if any, was not instantly identified) plunged into the water to rescue them, in accordance with the report.
