Five feared dead as gunmen ambush Osun farmers

At the very least 5 farmers have been feared lifeless after being ambushed by gunmen on their method to their farms at Modakeke group, Osun State.

The incident which occurred round 7am on Friday August 20, induced pressure in the neighborhood as residents and policemen visited the scene to evacuate corpses of the farmers.

Osun police spokesperson SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, saying;

“I heard some individuals have been killed and the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode has deployed extra of our males to the scene.

“Our males are doing the whole lot attainable to revive peace within the space.”
