Family Super TV CEO Petitions AGF, DSS, Police, Others Over Ataga’s Murder

The household of the late Usifo Ataga, Tremendous TV CEO, has written a petition to the Lawyer Common of the Federation and Minister of Justice; the Director Common, Division of State Companies (DSS); the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Murder Part, Pressure Legal Intelligence & Investigation Division (FCIID), and the Nigeria Police Pressure demanding that the homicide case of their son be reinvestigated correctly and professionally to unravel those that perpetrated the dastardly act.

A replica of the petition dated August 25, 2021, sighted on Wednesday by Each day Independent, was additionally copied to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command; the Commissioner of Police, Pressure Legal Investigation and Intelligence Division (FCIID); the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Legal Investigation and Intelligence Division (SCIID); the Lawyer-Common and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State; the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Lagos State, and the State Director, Division of State Companies (DSS), Lagos State Command.

Rights activist and constitutional lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), wrote and endorsed the petition on behalf of the Ataga household.

“We’re solicitors to the family of the late Mr. Michael Usifo Ataga, who was brutally murdered on the fifteenth day of June, 2021, in essentially the most horrific and spine-chilling circumstances ever conceivable”.

The petition was titled, ‘The Ugly and Horrific Homicide of Mr. Michael Usifo Ataga: A Clarion Name for Thorough Investigation and Supply of Justice’.

The petition learn partly, “That your officers forthwith re-investigate the whole Usifo homicide case extra correctly and extra professionally, and hand over the findings of its investigations to the Lagos State DPP to correctly and formally re-arraign Chidinma Ojukwu; and the opposite co-accused persons who had already been charged earlier than a Chief Magazineistrate Court docket and hurriedly granted bail.

“These are the individuals of Babalola Disu; Ojukwu(Chidinma’salleged fatheror ‘sugar daddy’); Jessica Egbochi; Abayomi Olutayo; and Ifeoluwa Olowu; and some other particular person(s) whom the police investigation should still throw up as having been linked to Usifo’s beastly and cold-blooded homicide”.

The Ataga household demanded that security operatives ought to therefore forth halt what it described as “any additional humorous and paratyphoid of Chidinma, or permit her entry to media interviews”.

This, in response to the petitioner, has invariably led to whole trivialisation and mockery of a critical crime of brutal homicide dedicated towards Usifo.

“Such parades even have the un-salutary impact of negatively impacting on our societal values and the morals of Nigerians, particularly the youths, who could erroneously, however unwittingly, be maintain Chidinma as a heroine”, the household wrote.
