Don’t Impose Hijab And Berets On Students – Kwara Government To Principals

The state administration of Kwara has warned faculty principals in opposition to requiring college students to put on the hijab (feminine Muslim headband) or beret.

Mallam Bello Abubakar, Chairman of the State Instructing Service Fee, issued the warning in a press release posted on Sunday, January 23.

Abubakar underlined the state authorities’s intention to foster non secular tolerance amongst academics and college students and promote peaceable coexistence throughout a gathering on Friday, January 21.

In accordance with the TESCOM spokesman, Peter Amogbonjaye, the assembly was organized with the aim of settling the dispute over hijab that arose currently at Oyun Baptist Grammar Faculty, Ijagbo, Oyun Native Authorities Space of Kwara State.

The assertion added; 

“He, thereafter, warned the principals in Oyun axis to abide by the coverage of the Kwara State Authorities and desist from imposing Hijab on any scholar, as an alternative, it must be made non-compulsory.”

Bello reminded the gang that Kwara State is a state of concord and suggested everybody to stay good ambassadors for the approaching era, warning that the present administration wouldn’t tolerate non secular bigotry and enjoining all to shun non secular sentiments and respect the rights of people.
