Dominguez tells BIR, Customs: Beef up cybersecurity to fight hacking

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III has a model new marching order to 2 tax firms amid rising cyber crimes concentrating on giant banks.

Dominguez urged Bureau of Inner Income (BIR) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) to spend cash on cyber security measures to guard in the direction of hacking incidents.

“Please ensure that your cybersecurity measures are updated and efficient towards all types of threats,” he talked about in an announcement.

Dominguez is referring to the reported “Mark Nagoyo” hack concentrating on BDO and UnionBank shoppers, along with phishing scams that victimized lecturers using LandBank accounts.

“Please ensure that that’s updated as a result of apparently, it’s getting increasingly prevalent,” he added.
