Police vow to arrest suspected cultists, who killed, used sufferer’s head to play soccer

The Anambra State Police Command has vowed to arrest suspected cultists who killed a member of a rival group and used his head to play soccer.

The video of the killing of the younger man, which surfaced on the web on the weekend, was stated to have occurred in Igbariam in Anambra East Council Space of the state, suspected to be a residence of scholars of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu College, Igbariam.

The video, which circulated on social media confirmed a dreadlock-carrying younger man, who was dragged out of his automotive and shot at shut vary.

He was later beheaded, and his head was later delivered to a sq., the place the assailants used it to play soccer, whereas making jest of him.

In his response, the state police police Commisioner, CP Tony Olofu, who spoke by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, stated the Command was working onerous to trace down the culprits.

Ikenga stated: “The Commissioner of police Anambra State command CP Tony Olofu has ordered investigation on the taking pictures incident on 25/9/2021 by 4pm alongside Igbariam highway.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that the taking pictures was because of rival cult conflict. In the meantime Police Operatives have intensified patrol and surveillance throughout the space. Additional particulars shall be communicated,” he assured.
