“Footage exhibits vehicles in gridlock on the Ambassador Bridge, a key buying and selling hyperlink between the U.S. and Canada. It was quickly closed early Tuesday amid rising protests in opposition to Canada’s Covid-19 vaccine mandates,” the WSJ reported.

“The convoy protest, applauded by right-wing media as a ‘freedom protest,’ is an financial and safety concern now. The protests emerged from opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and several other provinces have now agreed to roll again some restrictions.

Though Kayyem’s concept appeared radical to some Twitter customers, she doubled down on the tweet later.

“Belief me, I can’t run out of the way to make this harm: cancel their insurance coverage; droop their drivers’ licenses; prohibit any future regulatory certification for truckers, and so forth. Have we realized nothing? This stuff fester when there are not any penalties,” Kayyem tweeted.
