China to strengthen anti-monopoly efforts in pharma industry

BEIJING (Reuters) – China will toughen legislation enforcement to curb monopoly practices and unfair competitors within the pharmaceutical trade as the federal government seeks to foster enterprise setting, the trade ministry stated on Sunday.

The motion follows November’s regulatory tips to stamp out monopolies in energetic pharmaceutical components (API). China leads the world in making and exporting these merchandise.

In an announcement, the ministry of trade and data know-how stated it might “strengthen legislation enforcement towards unfair competitors, and resolutely examine unfair aggressive acts, reminiscent of business bribery”.
