Chicago shooting: Rideshare driver shot on Eisenhower Expressway on West Side

CHICAGO (WLS) — A rideshare driver was shot on the Eisenhower Expressway on Chicago’s West Aspect Monday night time, Illinois State Police mentioned.

The driving force was on I-290 within the eastbound lanes with a passenger within the automotive when police mentioned the driving force was shot simply earlier than midnight. The passenger referred to as police to report the capturing and the driving force managed to drag over at Congress Parkway and Throop Avenue.

Police mentioned the driving force was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening accidents and the passenger was not injured. The automotive was riddled with bullets and the passenger’s aspect window was shattered, police mentioned.

The expressway was briefly shut down for an investigation and reopened round 1 a.m. Tuesday.
