Cecilia Hart was the wife of James Earl Jones. Hart and Jones met on the set of Steven Bochco’s 1979-80 series Paris. They married in 1982, after appearing in a performance of William Shakespeare’s Othello the previous year. Flynn Earl Jones is their only child.

Cecilia Hart died of ovarian cancer on October 16, 2016, at the age of 68, in Westport, Connecticut.

Cecilia Hart was a well-known American actress. She was most recognised for her portrayal of Stacey Erickson in the CBS police drama Paris, which aired from 1979 to 1980.

Hart relocated to New York City to pursue a career as an actor. From January to March 1977, she appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard’s play Dirty Linen and New-Found-Land, winning the 1977 Theatre World Award.

She appeared on Broadway in The Heiress (1976), Design for Living (1984), and Othello in March 1982 as a replacement “Desdemona.”

Hart appeared in five plays with Paxton Whitehead before joining him in Bedroom Farce at the Westport Country Playhouse in 2015. The show ran from August 25, 2015, until September 13, 2015.
