Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was a British writer, literary scholar, and Anglican lay theologian. He is best known for his works of fiction, especially The Chronicles of Narnia series. He was also a noted Christian apologist and wrote many books on the subject of Christianity.

Lewis was born in Belfast, Ireland (now Northern Ireland) and attended Oxford University where he later became a professor of English literature. He also taught at Cambridge University.

C.S. Lewis wrote more than thirty books including works of fiction such as The Chronicles of Narnia series, The Screwtape Letters, and The Space Trilogy. He also wrote non-fiction Christian apologetics such as Mere Christianity, Miracles, and The Problem of Pain
