Broncos rent Rams assistants Evero, Stukes as coordinators

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Broncos have employed three assistants from the Tremendous Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams’ teaching workers, together with secondary coach Ejiro Evero, who will function Denver’s defensive coordinator.

New head coach Nathaniel Hackett additionally introduced the additions of Dwayne Stukes as his particular groups coordinator and Marcus Dixon as defensive position coach on Thursday.

Evero, whose full identify is pronounced e-JEE-row EV-uh-row, joins the Broncos after 5 years in Los Angeles and 14 seasons within the NFL. Evero coached LA’s safeties from 2017-20 and served as secondary coach and passing recreation coordinator final season.

Evero replaces Ed Donatell, who was among the many members of former coach Vic Fangio’s workers who weren’t retained by Hackett. Donatell has joined the Minnesota Vikings as their defensive coordinator.

Stukes has 14 years of teaching expertise with six NFL groups. He was the Rams’ assistant particular groups coach final season.

Dixon spent the final two seasons because the Rams’ assistant defensive position coach.

Earlier this week, the Broncos introduced the hiring of operating backs coach Tyrone Wheatley, assistant defensive backs coach Ola Adams, assistant-to-head-coach Derek Haithcock and tutorial designer John Vieira.
