Bridgewater College: Suspect arrested after 2 Virginia college campus officers shot and killed

BRIDGEWATER, Va. — Authorities mentioned a gunman shot and killed two campus officers at a personal school in Virginia, selling a campus lockdown earlier than the suspect was discovered and arrested.

Faculty officers positioned Bridgewater School on lockdown after tweeting a warning of a shooter on campus Tuesday afternoon and urged college students to shelter in place.

Virginia State Police mentioned the 2 campus officers responded to stories of a suspicious man and that he opened fireplace on them, fatally wounding each officers earlier than fleeing.

“Campus Police Officer John Painter and Campus Security Officer J.J. Jefferson had been shot and killed on campus whereas defending us,” college President Dr. David W.
