The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called for the impeachment of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari over the spate of insecurity in the country.
PRESS INFORMANT understands that the move was made by the opposition party members in the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 17.

PRESS INFORMANT reports that the leader of the caucus, Kingsley Chinda, at a press conference in Abuja today said growing insecurity in the nation is enough for the president to be impeached.

Chinda lamented over the abduction of students of the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State by dreaded Boko Haram group a few days ago.

“The president should be impeached over the growing insecurity in the country,” said Chinda.

PRESS INFORMANT understands that the terrorist group on Thursday (today), released a video claiming the custody of the abducted Kankara students. The clip which is six-minute-and-30-second long, shows scores of young boys behind him, all covered in dust within a forest area.

It could be recalled that the deadly group explained in an audio earlier, that their action was to discourage western education and encourage Islam in the nation.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s ruling political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed that a North-West Governor is behind the cases of banditry and kidnappings rampant in the country.

PRESS INFORMANT reports that the party made the allegation in a statement on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yekini Nabena which it claimed is based on an intelligence report.
