Benue Attacks: Aisha Yesufu Berates Federal Government

Nigerian activist and the co-convener of the Carry Again Our Ladies motion, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the incessant killings in Benue State.

In a video, she shared on her official Twitter deal with with hashtags #BenueUnderAttack #BenueGenocide #BenueLivesMatter stated, ’’There’s a bloodbath occurring in Benue state, there’s a genocide occurring within the state. Lives are been worn out. It appears as if there’s a conspiracy to wipe out the natives which are residing in lots of areas of Benue state. And we can’t afford to look away’’

‘’What’s the federal government doing about what’s going on in Benue state? What’s the commandant in chief doing about what’s going on What are the people of Nigeria doing about what’s going on in Benue state? We’re bored with the deaths, the burials the truth that human lives don’t matter anymore within the nation’’ she added.

Benue folks have been crying and sufficient is sufficient. Why is Benue underneath assault? Who’s there to take over Benue? Lots of people have been complaining that their lives are being taken away. They’re being pushed away from their villages, slaughtered like animals and their properties are destroyed? What’s the federal authorities doing about that?

‘’Is it against the law to be a Nigerian? Is it against the law to be from Benue state? Why is it that lives appear to not matter to the federal government of federal republic?’’ She additional acknowledged.

She stated the first duty of any authorities is to guard the lives and properties of the residents and any authorities that can’t defend the lives and properties of the residents will not be match to be referred to as a authorities.
