Ashley Cole joins Frank Lampard’s Everton backroom team as first-team coach

EVERTON have confirmed the appointment of Ashley Cole as first-team coach.

New boss Frank Lampard has raided his outdated membership Chelsea for his former team-mate.

Cole, 41, was working with the Chelsea academy, and can be Lee Carsley’s assistant with the England U21s.

It isn’t recognized if he’ll proceed his position with the nationwide group.

It comes after Lampard swooped for assistant supervisor Joe Edwards from Stamford Bridge.
