Armed robber arrested in Bayelsa
A suspected armed robber recognized as 23-year-old Benefit Salvation, has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command, Azikoro Division.
A locally-made pistol and three 9mm ammunition had been recovered from the suspect whose arrest was effected in collaboration with youth leaders and vigilantes from Akaba neighborhood, in Yenagoa, the state’s capital.
The suspect is cooperating with the Police in its investigation. Bayelsa police spokesperson stated;
“On twenty third August 2021, whereas on patrol at Akaba neighborhood at about 0230 hours, Police operatives arrested the suspect one Benefit Salvation ‘m’ 23 years, in possession of a regionally made pistol and three .9mm ammunition”.
Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng E. Echeng additionally suggested residents to always volunteer useful information that can help the police in fishing out criminals within the state.
