ANGEL EMILIO – Percussionist

Born in 1986 in Camagüey-Cuba, lives in Miami, Florida

1996-2001 Camagüey-Cuba

At age 10, studies Percussion at the “Luis Casas Romero” School of Arts, completing his elementary level.

2001-2005 Camagüey-Cuba

 

Middle and Professional Studies, graduating from José White Conservatory of Music as a Professional Percussionist.

For 4 years he participated in numerous music and dance competitions

At 16, he began working as a Timbal player for the “Modern Rhythm Orchestra”

Teacher at the Vocational School of Arts “El Cucalambé” Las Tunas, Cuba

2006 Moves to La Habana, Cuba

Starts working as a Timbal player for “Pupi y los que Son Son”, “El Clan” and “Sur Caribe”

He arrives in Miami in 2010 and begins his career as a Solo Timbal Performer at Clubs Bongos, Ashe, Blue Martini, Taverna Opa, Sugar Club, Babylon, to name a few.

In 2017, he is the first Latino Musician to play at the ULTRA Electronics Festival.

He has shared the stage as a Percussionist with talented Cuban artists such as: Erick Lexis, El Micha, Chakal, Clan537, William the Magnificent, The Only One, Baby Lores, Insurrection.

He currently works as a Solo Timbal Performer at The Martini Bar in El Doral, Miami.
